Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Historic Jefferson College. Pioneer Living History Encampment & Expedition Natchez 1813 Camp. Over 50 living history demonstrators will explain and show the techniques of historical skills and crafts like Dutch oven cooking, muzzle-loading, tomahawk throwing, weaving and much more. In addition, over 150 reenactors from the 7th Infantry Living History Association will also camp on the grounds of HJC and portray Jackson’s mustering and march up the Natchez Trace in 1813. Visitors may stop in at any time during the day to learn how our pioneer ancestors survived in frontier days of the south. Admission charge of $5 ages 12+.
