Saturday, October 6, 10 a.m.–noon and 1–3 p.m. at Winterville Mounds. Mock Dig. Young and old are invited to participate in a mock excavation at the mounds to learn about archaeological techniques. No experience necessary and tools are provided. Staff archaeologist Mark Dingeldein will demonstrate the scientific methods involved in a controlled excavation.
