Friday, April 13, 10–11 a.m. and 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Eudora Welty House Museum. Eudora Welty Birthday Celebration. Special performances throughout the day will feature the Northside Elementary Singers at 10:00 a.m. and the Mississippi Boychoir at 5:30 p.m. The Boychoir will perform songs from the musical adaptation of Welty’s children’s book The Shoe Bird. A new exhibit based on The Shoe Bird can be seen at the Welty House Education and Visitors Center. Cake and punch will follow.
