History and Techniques of Flint-knapping

Saturday, October 29, 1–3 p.m. at Historic Jefferson College. History and Techniques of Flint-knapping. Wilkie Collins, local flint knapper; Jim Barnett, archaeologist at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians; and Sam Brookes, Forest Service archaeologist, will discuss the history and techniques of making stone arrowheads and spear points and will give a demonstration of their talent.
